Prolotherapy
About Prolotherapy
Prolotherapy, also referred to as “sclerotherapy” and “ligament reconstruction,” is a method of treating ligaments and tendons through injections that stimulate the body’s innate healing mechanisms. Healthcare practitioners have used this principle since the time of Hippocrates.
Advances in the last half-century have refined this therapy and it has helped innumerable patients recover from many painful conditions that are otherwise commonly treated with surgery and/or chronic medications, often with only limited success.
Dr. Mallory completed courses in Prolotherapy through the American Academy of Osteopathy as well as the American Academy of Musculoskeletal Medicine in 2002 through 2004 and has gained intensive experience in Prolotherapy and Osteopathic Manipulation through his practice in the Air Force as well as at his current practice, which he opened in January 2004.
